Public Policy Task Force

Your voice will make a difference.

Join us in advocating to end homelessness!

The primary objective of the Task Force:

To use Heading Home Minnesota and its resources to leverage public funding and public policy changes in order to end homelessness.  Initial emphasis will be given to securing funding for supportive housing services.  The Task Force will work across various governmental levels including the federal Congress and incoming Administration, the Minnesota Legislature, and county governments in the state.

To get involved:

1) Sign up for the Heading Home Minnesota E News to get a bi-weekly update on our progress including public policies warranting public advocacy.

2) Talk to your representatives to let them know that ending homelessness is an important issue to you.  In particular, let them know that you understand that supportive services are a critical component to supportive housing that must be fully funded.

3) Contact Megan Harms at (612) 335-3586 to learn more about the Heading Home Minnesota Public Policy Task Force or to share testimonials about the value of supportive housing in breaking the cycle of homelessness.
